Sway-A-Way IRS Race Axles
Sway-A-Way Race Axles are heat-treated and center less ground for a smooth consistent finish. The end diameter has been maximized to get the most face contact possible, minimizing wear between the axle and CV joint. The spine length has been increased to 2" - 3" to allow the CV joint to "float" on the axle. The center part of the axle is sized to twist like a torsion bar under heavy loads absorbing a large portion of the shock transmitted from the wheel to the gearbox. Porsche 930 Race Axle Set are machined out of 300M and unpainted for magna flux inspection. These are the axles of choice for off-raod racing. CA Prop 65 Warning
