DZUS Fastner Tools
We offer this DZUS installation tool to simplify DZUS style fastner installation. The Transfer Punch Tool is used to accurately mark the panel for drilling the hole. Insert the transfer punch into the plate with the slot over the spring. Position the body panel and tap the outside of the panel directly over the punch, with a soft hammer or mallet. This will mark the position for the buttonhole in perfect alignment with the DZUS plate. Now punch or drill a 3/8" diameter hole located by the transfer punch mark. De-burr the hole. Dimple the panel with the Dimple Tool, making sure the dimple will point towards the plate. Tighten dimple tool with 9/16" wrenches until flush with panel on both sides. Kit includes Dimple Tool and 1 Transfer Punch Die.
