New plug and play billet distributor for VW engines is designed to provide maximum ignition performance and easy installation all at a price you can afford. These distributors allows you to upgrade your outdated points system with a performance proven distributor that features the standard Ignitor electronics or the patented Ignitor II electronic ignition module. Ignitor II distributors benefit from a integrated micro-controller for enhanced low and high RPM performance. The ultimate performance option for type 1 engines is the Ignitor III billet distributor. Ignitor III feature a built-in digital rev limiter and multiple sparks all the way to red line. PerTronix Flame Thrower distributors are CNC machined from 6061 T-6 aluminum and have a polished billet housing. PerTronix distributors are also compatible with any inductive ignition system coil, but high RPM performance can be improved when used with corresponding Flame-Thrower, Flame-Thrower II, or Flame-Thrower III coils. If you’re using a multi-spark CD ignition box or a Pertronix Second Strike box, no problem, our distributors are compatible. Additional features include a tempered .500” diameter shaft with low torsion displacement, an upper roller bearing and lower self-lubricating oil impregnated copper powder metal bushing and a durable machined heat-treated gear. Distributors come with a factory set performance curve, a mechanical advance limiting adjustment and high dielectric strength cap and rotor.
