IMI Hi-Torque VW Starter
IMI Hi-Torque Starters gear reduction design is designed to provide the utmost performance for hi compression race engines. These top quality starters are a blend of existing and proven starter engineering with "good old american engineering" This combination provides you with not only the most reliable performance starter on the market, but perhaps more important, one that is affordable.
From the IMI 101 for 12v VW type 1 bug and early 002 VW bus transmission, 104 for later 091 bus transmission. For Honda motors used with VW transmission use the 101NL (6 cyl.) or 101R for reverse rotation Honda (4 cyl.) The high output 101N with 1.4KW hi output is for big V-8's in buggies with VW or mendeola transmissions. IMI 101NMR is used for Mendeola MD-5 transmissions and is designed for use with Subaru 130 tooth flywheel.
